Robert A. Spencer, age 63, passed away on Wednesday (April 23rd, 2014) at Reid Hospital. He was born on June 8th, 1950 in Richmond, Kentucky to Robert D. and Bernice Spencer and had lived here all of his life. Robert was an avid fisherman who loved dogs, and had worked at Western Cullen Hayes for 41 years as torch operator. Survivors include his wife, Atoka Spencer; Son Robert (Kim) Spencer Jr.; Daughter Tracy (Charles) Marsh; Sister Patsy Schwab; Grandsons Cole Spencer and Christopher Pilkington; Granddaughters Hailey Spencer and Meleaha Lear; Nephews Jimmy Church, Merle Church, Ray Spencer, & John Schwab; Niece Bernice Arnett & Bridgit Halcomb. In addition to his parents, a brother Larry Spencer and sister Linda Duncil are also deceased. Services for Robert will be held on Tuesday (April 29th 2014) at 1 p.m. in Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Pastors Mike and Jennifer Stonebraker will officiate. Burial will follow in Goshen Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Robert's name to the Robert Spencer Fund in care of the funeral home.
