Roger L. Wright, age 69, of Richmond, died Thursday morning (February 7, 2013) at his residence. He was born in Richmond on May 19, 1943 to St. Elmo and Edith Haymaker Wright and had lived here all of his life. He had worked as a painter in the casket manufacturing business and had served several companies including Richmond Casket Shell, Kenco, Romark and Milso. He was a member of the Druids Lodge. Roger enjoyed playing music and was a former member of the Hoosier Troubadours. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jane Wright; children, Cathy (Dave) Carpenter of Richmond, Darrin Wright of Richmond; brother, Ron Wright of Richmond; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, a daughter, Tammy Garrett, two brothers, St. Elmo Wright, Jr., Bob Wright, and sister, Jerrie Wright, are also deceased.. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday (February 10, 2013) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Judy Jackson will officiate. Friends may call on Sunday (February 10, 2013) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Elkhorn Cemetery.
