Roland Jerome "Jerry" McNally, age 80, of Richmond, was born into eternal life surrounded by his family on Friday (November 4, 2011) He was born in Richmond on October 30, 1931 to Thomas Paul and Violet Mae Livelsberger McNally and had lived here all of his life. He was certified by Purdue University as a golf course technician and was the retired superintendent of the Richmond Elks Golf Course. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War, the American Legion, the National Rifle Association and the YMI. He was a member of Saint Mary Church and of the Golf Course Superintendents Association. His wife, Nancy McNally, died on September 18, 2007 Survivors include his son - Rand McNally of Rio Nido, CA; daughters - Jayne (David) Rheinhardt of Richmond, Shelley (Harold) Erbse of Richmond; Holly (Sean) Butler of Richmond; brothers - Donald (Eris) McNally of Florida, Charles (Barbara) McNally of New Paris, Mike (Janet) McNally of Richmond; grandchildren - Amy Jackson, Krista Falcone, Corey Rheinhardt, Leah Killion, Kelsie Rheinhardt, Brett Rheinhardt, Audrey Rheinhardt, Daniel Rheinhardt, Stephanie Talbot, Benjamin Climer, Terra Butler, Natasha Vance, Rhett Butler; 11 great grandchildren; special friend - Pat Thornburg of Richmond; nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife and parents, three brothers, Thomas, John and Daniel McNally, are also deceased. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday (November 8, 2011) in Saint Mary Church. Father Todd Riebe will officiate. Burial will be in Saint Mary Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne Counnty Honor Guard. Friends may call on Monday (November 7, 2011) from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary and on Tuesday (November 8, 2011) one hour before the service at the church.
