Ronald W. Creason, age 65, of Richmond died Friday evening (July 9, 2004) at his sister's home after a long illness with cancer. He was born in Richmond on September 12, 1938 to Wilbur and Evelyn Young Creason and had lived in Dayton, Ohio for many years before moving back here in 1992. He graduated from Richmond High School in 1956 and served in the US Navy on submarines until 1960. Ron followed in his dad's footsteps as a truck driver and retired from IRC& D Motor Freight. He also worked for Elderlite Express and for Belden. He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 661 F & AM in Dayton, he was a 32nd Degree member of the Scottish Rite and a member of the Antioch Temple.
Survivors include - Sons - Michael Creason of Bluffton, South Carolina
Mark Creason of Miamisburg, Ohio
Sisters - Saundra (Phil) Rosar of Richmond
Paula (Bob) Minor of Florida
Pat Rigsby of Williamsburg, Indiana
Grandchildren - Sara and Mathew Creason of Miamisburg, Ohio
Shelby and Anna Creason of Bluffton, South Carolina
Nieces & Nephews and a special friend "Sadie"
A public memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday (July 12, 2004) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor John Walker will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. There will be no public calling. www.riggle-waltermann.com
