Ronald K. Gillespie, age 78, of Richmond, died Wednesday (May 16, 2012) evening at Golden Living Center - Golden Rule. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 14, 1934 to John H. and Gladys Jenks Gillespie and had lived here most of his life. He was a graduate of Richmond High School and attended Earlham College. He was a retired 37 year employee of Alcoa/Silgan. Ron was an avid boater and enjoyed spending time on the Ohio River. He was a gun enthusiast and an active supporter of the NRA. Survivors include his wife Dagmar, whom he married in 1958; daughter - Heidi (Phillip) English of Richmond; granddaughter - Veronica (Jacob) Cox of Kentucky. No service or visitation is planned.
