Ronald J. Morgan "Ron", age 81 of Richmond, passed away on Tuesday September 26, 2023 at Reid Health. He was born in Liberty, Indiana on June 30, 1942 to Ralph and Ruth (Marcum) Morgan. Ron attended Liberty High School and had worked as a driver for Aunt Millies, retiring in 2004 after 40+ years. He enjoyed watching golf, NASCAR and football, specifically the Cleveland Browns. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
If you knew Ron, you know that he always wore a plaid flannel shirt. Anyone who attends his service is welcome to honor Ron by wearing a plaid flannel shirt as well.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 37 years Linda; children John Morgan of Zionsville, Indiana; Laura (Shawn) Johnson of West College Corner, Indiana; Kathy Morgan of Richmond, Indiana; step-son Tom Austerman; son-in-law Mike Higgins of Richmond, Indiana; siblings Rita Wheelock, Becky Gariety, Rick (Poly) Morgan, Randy (Ronda) Morgan; grandchildren Michael, Kaitlyn, Ryan and Christopher; 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his son Jeff Morgan; step-daughter Lee Ann Higgins and brother Ralph Morgan.
Services will take place at 1:00 pm on Monday October 2, 2023 at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary (32 South 11th St. Richmond, Indiana). Burial will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Monday October 2, 2023 at the funeral home.
