Roy Gordon, age 60, of Richmond, died Saturday (August 17, 2013) at Ambassador Health Care. He was born in Richmond on June 18, 1953 to Morris and Zoan Cottman Gordon and had lived here all of his life. He was a graduate of Richmond High School and had worked in restaurant management. He was a veteran of the US Army and attended Mount Moriah Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Christopher Gordon of Oregon; daughter, Natasha Jenkins of Richmond; brothers, James Gordon and Merrit Gordon of Richmond, Del Gordon of Phoenix, Arizona, Morris Gordon of California; sisters, Bonnie (Gary) Carlin of Richmond and Vicki(Harvey) McCown of Indianapolis; 9 grandchildren; special friends, Patty Patrick, Nanette Nicholson, Debbie Huddleston and numerous other close friends; nieces and nephews. A service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday (August 22, 2013) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday (August 22, 2013) from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
