Roy Lee Grimes, age 80, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018, in St. Petersburg, FL. He was born in Richmond, Indiana on April 18, 1938 to William and Margaret Grimes. Roy moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1971, he worked in construction and demolition until the age of 77. He became a Mason in 1971, he was a member of the Nitram Lodge No. 188 in St. Petersburg, FL and he was also a member of the Eastern Star, Bethlehem Chapter No. 169 also in St. Petersburg, FL.
He is survived by his brother William Grimes of Richmond, IN, 3 children, Terri Sharp of Tampa, FL, Steven Grimes of Englewood, OH and Susie Grimes of South Bend, IN. He has 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Judith E. Grimes, parents William and Margaret Grimes, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Services for Roy will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday (December 8, 2018) at Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will follow in Elkhorn Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Saturday (December 8, 2018) at the funeral home.
