Ruby Alcorn, age 97, of Richmond, died Monday afternoon (December 6, 2010) at Golden Living Center �" Richmond. She was born in Mount Vernon, Kentucky on October 19, 1913 to John F. and Viola Sowder McKinney and was the oldest of eight children. She was a homemaker and had lived in Richmond for the past 20 years. Her husband of 60 years, Henry Alcorn, is deceased. Survivors include her daughter �" Rhoda Foust of Williamsburg, Indiana; sons �" Raymond Alcorn of Columbus, Ohio, Donald Alcorn of Richmond, Wayne Alcorn of Ohio; sister �" Virgie Alcorn; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday (December 9, 2010) in Riggle �" Waltermann Mortuary. Friends may call on Thursday (December 9, 2010) from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
