Obituary

Ruby M. McClure, age 97, of Richmond, died peacefully on Sunday morning (February 6, 2005) at Friends Fellowship Community. She was born on February 9, 1907 to Frank and Olive Royer and had lived in this area most of her life. In the early part of her married life she taught elementary school, primarily in Wayne County, and continued as a substitute teacher and homemaker after her children were born. She was a member of Centerville United Methodist Church and she found enjoyment in crocheting baby caps for the new-born nursery at Reid Hospital. Her husband, Paul C. McClure, died on August 23, 1981.
Survivors include - Son - Robert (Joyce) McClure of Naperville, Ill
Daughters - Marthlene (Herb) Dorn of Richmond, Virginia
Iris (Ken) Potenberg of Downers Grove, Ill
Sister - Mary Harsh of Union City, Indiana
Brother - Martin Royer
Nieces & Nephews
She was extremely proud of her 9 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchldren and 1 Great Great Grandchild
Services will be held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday (February 9, 2005) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Doug Sanders will officiate. Entombment will be in Earlham Mausoleum. Friends may call on Tuesday (February 8, 2005) from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends Fellowship Community, 2030 Chester Blvd. Richmond, IN 47374, Centerville United Methodist Church, 112 S. Morton Ave. Centerville, IN 47330, or to Hayes Regional Arboretum, 801 Elks Country Club Road, Richmond, IN 47374 The family is grateful to the staff of Friends Fellowship Community for their thoughtful and personal care and to Mary Livingston for her ministry of love.
