Ruby D. Shaw, age 80, of Richmond, took God's hand on Saturday morning (March 16, 2013) and went to her reward in heaven surrounded by her family and her pastor. She was born on July 6, 1932 in East Bernstadt, Kentucky to Gordia and Eva Fields Harrison. Ruby had worked as a pharmacy tech and in various medical related jobs. She had served as secretary at the former Saint Paul's Nazarene Church. Ruby was a pastor's wife and was accomplished at fulfilling the responsibilities that the position required. She was a member of Southview Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Basil Shaw; daughter, Linda (Larry) Lewis of Centerville; sons, Mike (Patty Kelley) Dickerson of Richmond, Kevin (Marta) Dickerson of Richmond; sister, Marie Benjamin of Richmond; brother, Raymond (Gail) Harrison of Norfolk, Virginia; 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Boyd Harrison, Taylor Harrison, Curt Harrison and an infant sister, Mary Rose Harrison, are also deceased. Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday (March 20, 2013) in Southview Church of the Nazarene (2061 South "J" St. - Richmond). Rev. Paul Mingus will officiate. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Tuesday (March 19, 2013) from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m at Riggle ��" Waltermann Mortuary (32 South 11th St. - Richmond)
