Russell A. Charette, age 78 died Monday July 31, 2023. He was born in Westbrook, Maine on February 18, 1945 to Leo Charette and Mabel Gagne Charette. Russ retired from the US Navy with an honorable discharge after spending 20 years serving his country. While enlisted he obtained a Fifth Good Conduct Award, National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. Russ moved to Williamsburg, IN from Maine 19 years ago to be closer to his family. He loved fishing and hunting and to be outdoors. He especially loved to sit on his front porch and visit with his friends and neighbors and tell stories of his many adventures. Russ had a special place in his heart for Springer Spaniels and had several in his lifetime that were well cared for and loved.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Beverly (Ralph) Russell; grandchildren Joshua (Crystal) Hicks, Amber Hicks, Ashley Russell, Rebekah Russell and Micah Russell; great grandchildren Leah Kendall, Ra'shaun Rogers, Kariah Rogers and Skye'Ari Rogers. In addition to his parents Russell is also preceded in death by brothers Paul, Conrad and Gerald Charette.

The family will be hosting a celebration of life at 11am on August 26, 2023 at the Veteran's Memorial Park in Richmond, Indiana.
