Russell F. Doren, Jr., age 78, of Richmond, died Monday morning (September 3, 2007) at Pinehurst Village.� He was born in Richmond on August 2, 1929 to Russell F. and Rosa Bond Doren and had lived her all of his life.� He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War Russ was an avid bowler and was well known in local bowling circles and had worked as a manager for Do-Ri-Me Bowling Alley.� He was a retired employee of the City of Richmond and was a member of American Legion Post 65.� His wife Margaret "Maggie" Doren, whom he married on June 13, 1964, died on August 17, 2007.

Survivors include his step-son - Gary Crumpton of Fort Wayne; his step-grandson� - James "Tony" Crumpton of Richmond;� step-granddaughter - Nichole Owen of Saint Louis;� sister - Betty Robinson of Phoenix, Arizona; nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents and wife, two brothers, Bud and Herbert Doren, and a sister, Dorothy Kramer, are also deceased.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday (September 8, 2007) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.� Rev. Darrell Kepler will officiate.� Burial will be in the Veterans Field of Honor in Earlham Cemetery.� Friends may call on Saturday (September 8, 2007) from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.�
