Ruth C. Adelsperger, age 94, of Richmond, died Friday evening (September 14, 2012) at Friends Fellowship Community. She was born in New Hope, Ohio on September 6, 1918 to Frank and Anna Wilsdorf Stemple and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a graduate of Morton High School and attended Purdue University. Ruth was a long-time employee of the former Nettle Creek Industries. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Altrusa International and the Business and Professional Women's Association. She had volunteered as a Gray Lady at Reid Hospital for many years. Survivors include her husband of 72 years - Fred Adelsperger; children - Tom Adelsperger, Sylvia (Tim) Black, Fritz (Leslie) Adelsperger all of Richmond; 6 grandchildren, 8 great granddaughters a nephew and a niece. A sister, Alice Romain, is also deceased. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Friday (October 5, 2012) in First Presbyterian Church (100 N. 10th Street). Pastor David Layman and Pastor John Hollis will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
