Ruth E. Russell, age 86, of Richmond, died Thursday afternoon (December 9, 2004) at Golden Rule - Beverly Healthcare. She was born in Richmond on March 14, 1918 to John and Anne Harmeling Sherman and had lived here all of her life. She was a retired teacher for Holy Family School where she worked for 17 years. She was a member of Holy Family Church, the Women's Club of the church, the Daughters of Isabella and she had been an active member of the Wayne County Bowling Association. Her husband, Floyd N. Russell, died February 24, 1994.

Jean Goins of Richmond
Son - James Russell of Liberty, South Carolina

A prayer service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday (December 13, 2004) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Holy Family Church. Entombment will be in Earlham Mausoleum. Friends may call on Monday (December 13, 2004) from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the funeral home.
