Obituary

On Friday December 20th, 2024, Sandra Lee Delk (Cline) of Richmond Indiana passed peacefully in her home at the age of 76. The Daughter of the late John Cline and Dolores Cline (Barth), Sandi was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 27th, 1947. She is preceded in death by many beloved family members, including her husband William (Bill) E. Delk Jr., her daughter Dawn R. Baker, and her sisters Donna Hellman, Jaqueline Wilson, and Shirlene Fiasco. Sandi is survived by many family and friends, including her sister Geraldine Stewart; her children Debra M. Belt and John Delk; her grandchildren Virginia M. Jenkins, Bradley A.W. Jenkins, Kevin L. Belt; and her great grandchild Kohen W. Jenkins.

Sandi's time was well spent with loved ones throughout her life. She fondly remembered growing up singing with her sisters for fun, who endearingly called themselves the Lemon Sisters quintet. She moved from Cincinnati to Richmond in her high school years and later graduated from Richmond High School in 1966. Shortly after, she met the love of her life Bill, and was married on July 19th, 1969. With the birth of her children, Sandi enjoyed her life as a caring devoted housewife. She took pride in her family and home, enjoying every holiday to its fullest. After her nest started to empty, Sandi became one of the most renowned door greeters at the Richmond Walmart. Known for her pristine makeup and hair, warm personality, and endearing smile, Sandi took pride in meeting the public and delighting the children passing her daily. She was well known to always hand out the signature "smiley face" stickers, and would go as far to purchase additional stickers to give out to the friends she greeted each day, and will be well remembered for the kindness she shared with each soul she met.

Sandi is going to be privately buried beside her husband in Hollansburg, Ohio.
