Sandra Kay (Shake) Williams, age 73, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday (January 15, 2014) at Novant Health Medical Center - Matthews. She was born in Seymour, Indiana on February 15, 1940, the daughter of the late William O. and Marjorie E. Freeman Shake. She spent most of her life in Richmond. She and her husband, James, have been residents of Charlotte for 30 years. Mrs. Williams was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, James A. Williams; her three children, Andrea (Barry) Groover, Darren Williams, Loran Williams all of Charlotte, North Carolina; her two grandchildren, Samantha and Matthew Gwin of Mt. Holly, North Carolina; two brothers, William (Debbie) Shake and David (Amy) Shake of Richmond; nieces Whitney, Taylor, Audrey (Sweet Pea) and nephews Logan and Ian. Friends may call on Saturday (March 22, 2014) from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. A private service will be held with the family from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Her uncle, Ronnie Plumer, will officiate.
