Sarah R. Day, age 80, of Richmond died Monday (February 17, 2014) at Reid Hospital. She was born on June 5, 1933 to Paul and Dorothy Shaffer and had lived here all of her life. Survivors include her son, Michael (Shelly Greene) Day; one brother, Dicky Shaffer; son in law, Robert Grimes; grandchildren, Sam Grimes, Amanda Grimes, Jacob James Day, Dylan Michael Day, Lucas Day, Tyler Spiers, Brandon Ervin, Nathaniel Ervin and many other family members including several nieces. Including her parents she Is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Day; daughters Judy Helsey and Florence Grimes; brother Paul Shaffer and Granddaughter Sarah Day. Services will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday (February 22, 2014) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will be in Elkhorn cemetery. Pastor Keith Vincent will officiate. Friends may call on Saturday (February 22, 2014) from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
