Sarah H. Hobbs, age 86 of Richmond died Sunday May 4, 2025 at Reid Hospital. She was born in Richmond on October 15, 1938, to Ernest Dodson and Pauline Coleman Dodson. Sarah married Stanley L. Hobbs on August 31, 1962 in Richmond, Indiana and together they raised three beautiful children, Deborah, Jeff and Cheryl. Sarah and Stanley shared 58 wonderful years together before his passing in November 2020. Sarah was a strong-willed, loving mother to her children. She retired from Belden Wire after many years and enjoyed spending time with her family and pulling weeds.

Left to cherish her memory are children Deborah Green (and her late husband Bill), Jeff (Becky) Hobbs and Cheryl (Donny) Ellison; grandchildren Janelle Green, Adam (Nakyla) Green, Ben Hobbs, Jeffrey (Courtney) Hobbs, Donald Ellison, Sarah (Eric) Hensley, Zack (Aarika) Smith, Megan Smith, Elizabeth Medaris, Nicola Vanhook and Deanna (David) Spradling; great grandchildren James and Jake Ellison, Mason Stanley Hobbs, Logan James Hobbs, Nathan Landon Hensley, Emma, Aubrey, Xavier, Luke, Jake, Lindsey, Kevin, Dylan, Austin, Ava, AJ, Maddie and Isaiah; 3 great-great grandchildren; sister in law Sharon Smith; brother in law Fred Gard and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Sarah is also preceded in death by siblings Naomi Aultman, Frank Dodson and Mary Mason.

Rev. Cindy Ploughe will officiate services at 2:00 P.M. on Friday May 9, 2025 at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will take place at Earlham cemetery following the service. Friends and family may call on Friday May 9, 2025 from 12pm-2pm at the funeral home.
