Sharon Kay Barnes died unexpectedly on February 1, 2023, at her home. She was born on May 14, 1958 to Tommie and Betty Mayse and had lived in the area most of her life. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family whom she loved dearly. She loved to laugh, tell stories and she loved the Lord. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Lee (Shasta) Grimes, Peggy Grimes, Tricia (Joe) Onder and Mandy (Samuel) Buckley; grandchildren Suri Onder, Zane Buckley, Emberlin Onder and Alaina Buckley; brother Scotty (Debbie) Mayse; many nieces, nephews and friends. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Chester. She was preceded in death by her parents Tommie and Betty Mayse; husband Sidney Eugene Barnes; brother Thomas Ray and her lifelong friend Dora Johnson.

Pastor Sammy Reed will officiate services starting at 1pm on Friday February 10, 2023 at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will immediately follow in Goshen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday February 10, 2023 at the funeral home.
