Shawn Wesley Sams age 27 born 10-10-1989 tragically died on 6-16-2017. He is survived by his parents Vernon and Pam Sams. Grandmother Janice Moore Sisters Erica -Crawley Hebert Sherri Hanson Jessica Sams. Brother Christopher Crawley. Nieces Bryanna Waterman Makayla Hebert. Nephews TJ Linkous Christopher W Crawley Samuel Hebert. Great Niece Abbey Waterman Katie Linkous great nephew Tommy Linkous. Many aunts uncles cousins. And Doug Reynolds who loved him as if he was his own son. Along with so many true friends.

Shawn was a loving kind person to everyone. He had the biggest heart of anyone I have ever known. His smile would light up a room. He loved his family and friends more than he cared about hisself. He would help anyone he could and never expect anything in return for it. He always looked out for the little guy and less fortunate. He would give his last dollar to someone if he thought you needed it more than him. Shawn worked harder than anyone I knew and was proud of the work he did. He always helped others out.
Shawn was an avid boxer he started training when he was young and loved the sport. He fought in golden gloves and won the state championship. This earned him a Golden Glove jacket that he was so proud of. The night he won this he told us he wanted to give it to his opponent. The reason was because he said the other kid wanted it so bad. After every fight he ever had he always talked with the other fighter and gave them pointers. He wanted to make sure they never gave up and would continue to love the sport. He loved to train others.
Shawn loved movies and especially Anime.
Everyone needs to continue to remember how Shawn lived his life and not what took it. He would want everyone to continue on with love and kindness in their heart. And to forgive he always forgave those who had done him wrong. He would befriend everyone no matter who you were or where you came from.
