Shirley A. Carson was born in Richmond, Indiana to Martha and Nelson Eaton on January 24, 1937. She had been ill for a while and succumbed to her plight on December 1, 2023, at the age of 86 at Reid Hospital under Hospice care.

She was predeceased by both parents Martha and Nelson Eaton, spouse Martin Carson, sisters Miriam Eaton, Ruby Dean, Patricia Green, Mary Stiggleman and a brother Richard Eaton. She has one surviving brother, Larry Eaton in Port Orange, FL.

She married Martin Carson on October 4, 1955 in Inglewood, CA. They soon welcomed a daughter, Pamela Farver (Ron), then Shari Green (Rob), Kyle Carson and Karen Jackson (Geno). They were blessed with nine grandchildren; Jeffrey Watts, Steven Watts (Kayla) and Brent Watts (Ira); Stephanie Hatfield (Jay), Brandon Barnes (Fallon); Ethan and Julia Jackson; Madeline Castro (Chandler) and Thomas Green (Kelsey).

Both their love and family grew over the years, giving them eighteen great grandchildren and multiple
nieces and nephews that were dearly loved along with several special friends, Josephine Burdette, Doris Parrett and Jim Beach.

She would light up a room with her beautiful white smile and sparkling blue eyes. She loved to dance and sing and perform in several plays. She made sure recipes and traditions were passed down through the family over the years. She loved to cook for the holidays and have her family surrounding her.

Her Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at Riggle Waltermann Mortuary, 32 S 11th Street, on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm. Her ashes will be scattered in a private setting with family.
