Sidney Eugene Barnes age 81 went home to be with the Lord on December 17, 2019 unexpectedly with his family by his side. He was born on January 16, 1938 in Blue Ash, Ohio to Sidney and Modena Sears Barnes.

Survivors include his wife Sharon Barnes, whom he married August 16, 2010, one brother in-law Scotty Mayse; children Gary Barnes, Sharon Jackson, Bobby Barnes, Modena Tutt; nonbiological children he treated as his own Lee Grimes, Peggy Grimes, Patricia Onder and Mandy Buckley; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, friends and his dog Chester.

He worked at Johns Manville Corp. and Coca Cola Bottling Company. He was well known for the outdoors, deer hunting, fishing and NASCAR races. He loved walking, spending time with family and going to church. He was a very generous person and loved people and never met a stranger.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Shirley, grand daughter Tina and grandson Travis.A special thanks to Dr. Desantis and the Reid Hospital Hospice staff. A private service will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
