Stephen A. McClain, age 55, of Richmond, died Wednesday (July 4, 2007) at his residence. He was born in Richmond on July 24, 1951 to John J. and Maxine Turner McClain and had lived here most of his life. He attended Centerville schools and was a veteran of the US Army where he served in Viet Nam with the 173rd Airborne Division. He attended Saint Andrew Church. Survivors include his sons �" Derek S.(Abby Roman) McClain of Hoboken, NJ, Jonathan C. (Emily Crowe) McClain of Indianapolis; Cole A. McClain of Connersville; daughter �" Stephenie N. McCord of Richmond; mother �" Maxine McClain of Richmond; sister �" Sharon (Mark) Greminger of Richmond; Grandchildren �" Kyndrick McCord and Skylah McCord; niece and nephew Sarah J. Greminger and Ryan S. Greminger. His father, John J. McClain died in 1983 and his grandmother, Josephine Turner, died in 1989. Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday (July 7, 2007) in Riggle �" Waltermann Mortuary. Father Todd Riebe will officiate. Burial will be in the Veterans Field of Honor in Earlham Cemetery.
