Steven M. Angi, age 81, of Centerville, died Friday (January 30, 2009) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Richmond on September 4, 1927 to Louis and Rosa Ach Angi and had lived here all of his life. He was a graduate of Richmond High School and was a retired 43 year employee of Richmond Power and Light. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and was retired from the US Army Reserves. He was a member of Centerville United Methodist Church. Steve was an avid bowler and golfer and found great enjoyment in gardening. His wife, Betty (June) Angi died on March 20, 2003. Survivors include his son - David (Andi) Angi of Centerville; daughters - Cheryl (Douglas) Thornhill of Rossburg, Ohio, Sindy (Erskine) Angi of Richmond; sister - Julia (Don) Lafuse of Hannibal, Missouri; 4 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A daughter, Cathy Angi, four sisters, Ethel Cook, Rose Horvath, Elizabeth Angi, Margaret Angi, a brother, Lewis Angi, and two nephews are also deceased. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday (February 3, 2009) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Robert Land will officiate. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
