Steven G. McInturff, age 62, passed away on Monday September 16, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on August 2, 1962 to Alvin E. and Mavis I. (Berry) McInturff. After graduating high school, Steven enlisted and served in the United States Army until 1987 where he was honorably discharged as a Sargent. He continued to serve his country as a part of the United States Army Reserve, in Operation Desert Storm from 1990-1991. Steven completed technical school and worked as a forklift operator for over 14 years at General Motors. He also was a volunteer and board member for Habitat for Humanity, previously worked for Becker Electric, Midwest Iron and was the owner/operator of his roofing company. Steven was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother Mavis; siblings Jamie McInturff (Shawna), Deborah Dulaney, and Cathy Barker; many nieces, nephews and cousins; Uncle Paul Berry Jr. (Kathy) and Aunts Debbie Berry and Judy Berry. Special thanks to his nephew Mark (Angela) Rusher. Special mention to his ex-wife Tami Penick. Steven is preceded in death by his father Alvin McInturff; grandparents Paul (Lilly) Berry and Lilly McInturff; many uncles and aunts.
Rev. Daniel Moses will officiate services for Steven at 12:00pm on Thursday September 26, 2024, at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will immediately follow in Elkhorn Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Thursday from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Steven's name to Habitat for Humanity.
