Theodore "Ted" Engelbert, age 86, passed away on Monday (January 8, 2018) in Mason, Ohio at Brookdale Long Cove Pointe. Ted was born on November 3, 1931 in Richmond, Indiana to Clarence and Malvin Prifogle Engelbert. He lived in Richmond all of his life and was married to Marilyn Brown Engelbert for 57 years before she passed away in March of 2014. He retired from Wayne Dairy in 1994 as a route driver after 29 years of employment. He was a member of First Christian Church, American Legion #315, VFW #1108, Moose Lodge, Richmond Senior Center, and was a US Army Veteran (Korea).
He is survived by his son Chad (Julie) Engelbert of Mason, Ohio; sister Joyce Wells of Columbus, Ohio; granddaughters Samantha, Sydney, and Elizabeth and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Malvin; wife Marilyn Engelbert; brothers William and Robert Engelbert and sister June Abrams.
Services for Ted will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday (January 12, 2018) at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Cindy Ploughe will officiate. A graveside service will be held for family and close friends at Goshen Cemetery following the service. Friends may call from 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday (January 12, 2018) at the funeral home.
