Terrence G. Kelly, age 71, of Richmond, died Tuesday evening (May 28, 2013) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Richmond on January 20, 1942 to Dale G. and Alberta A. Roosa Kelly and had lived here all of his life. He was a graduate of Richmond High School and a veteran of the US Air Force. Terry was a retired employee of the former General Telephone Company. He was a member and Past Commander of American Legion Post 315; a member of VFW Post 1108 and AmVets Post 38. He had also been a member of the Senior Citizen Club, the Conservation Club and the Elks and Moose Lodges. Survivors include his children, Trael (Christine) Kelly of Greenwood, Indiana, Teanne Kelly Howard of Richmond; his step-children, Carmela Kitchin, David Vecera, Angela Vecera and their children including Chelsea Naylor and Natalie Kitchin; the children's and step-children's mother and Terry's former wife, Jeanne Kelly; grandchildren, Taurie, Devin, Sydney, Cooper, Quinn and Cade; brothers, Tim Kelly of Robbinsville, North Carolina and Tom Kelly of Richmond; nieces and nephews. He also leaves his special friend, Betty Souther. Public visitation will be held on Saturday (June 1, 2013) from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Riggle �" Waltermann Mortuary. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
