Theresa J. Drook, age 75, of Richmond, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday afternoon (November 29, 2006) at the residence of her daughter. She was born in Wayne County on June 30, 1931 to Cecil Eugene and Silvia L. Uhl McMeans and had lived here most of her life. She had worked at Elder-Beerman and had co-owned and operated D & T Furniture. She was a member of Rock Solid Ministries and was a founder and volunteer for the Community Kitchen for which she was honored with the Kiwanis Volunteer of the Year Award. Her husband, Charles E. Drook, whom she married on January 2, 1948, died on June 21, 1999. Survivors include daughters �" Patricia (Garland) Mink of Richmond, Sylvia (Dennis) Frame of Richmond, Jennifer (David) Eales of Richmond; Brother �" Eugene McMeans of Texas; 10 Grandchildren 17 Great Grandchildren 1Great Great Granddaughter; Special friend �" Virginia Meyer of Richmond; Nieces & Nephews In addition to her parents, two brothers, Thomas McMeans and David McMeans, and a sister, Sydney Creech, are also deceased Services will be held at 11:00 am Monday (December 4, 2006) in Riggle = Waltermann Mortuary Rev. Carlos King and Rev. John Clegg will officiate. Burial will be in Lutherania Cemetery Friends may call on Sunday (December 3, 2006) from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
