Thomas M. Bowman, age 60. a life-long Richmond resident, died Sunday morning (June 20, 2010) at Ambassador Healthcare in Centerville after a short battle with cancer. Tom was the author of two books of poetry, "Wisdom's Rain" and "A Fresh Pair of Clothes" and for several years he participated in a local access television show about poetry. Tom was a member of the local Baha'l Faith Community and also attended First Christian Church. He was a graduate of Indiana University East and was a member of the Richmond Poetry Club. His wife, Robin Bowman, died in 2006. He is survived by his brothers - Edward, David (Debra) and Jeff Bowman; sisters - Ursula (Bernice) Withers, Peg Bowman and Theresa Budreau; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many dear friends. His parents, Edward and Ruth Erickson Bowman are also deceased A memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday (June 29, 2010) at 3:00 pm in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.
