Obituary

Thomas "Tom" Priest, age 68, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday (October 31, 2017) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Newark, Ohio on January 10, 1949 to Everett and Betty Priest. Tom attended Ohio State University for a year, and then took a job with the United States Air Force in 1969 at Newark Air Force Base as an electronic technician, working on the gyro system. He transferred to Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma in 1995, working on the atomic clock. He then retired and moved to this area 4 years ago. Tom was a lifelong member of Faith United Methodist Church, and a 45-year member of the New Home Masonic Lodge # 338 of Hanover, Ohio. He loved to work on cars at Priest & Sons Body Shop. He loved his family, and enjoyed his time with them. He also loved to cheer for the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years Darlene Priest; Son Scott (Britney) Priest; brother Randolph Priest; sister Annette Wilkinson; grandchildren Logan Priest, Amy Wall, Paige (Marshall) Strickland; and Katlyn Williams; great grandchildren Omar Wall and Parker Strickland. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Sharon Winters; and a brother Terry Priest.

Graveside services for Tom will be held on Saturday (November 4, 2017) at 12 p.m. in Goshen Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at 4292 Porterfield Rd. Richmond, IN 47374.
