Thomas D. "Tommy" Henemyre, age 79, of Richmond, died Friday afternoon (May 17, 2013) at his residence. He was born in West Alexandria, Ohio on April 3, 1934 to Frank and Ethel Bowden Henemyre and had lived in this area all of his life. He had worked in various factories including McClelland Casket Hardware and retired as an employee of Country Club Apartments. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing cards and scratch-off lottery tickets. He loved to play the guitar and was an accomplished "washer" player. Tommy loved being with his family. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Alice Henemyre; daughters, Patty (Larry) Knoob of Indianapolis, Goldie (Phil) Martin of Richmond, Heidi (Gary) Vadakin of Williamsburg; sons, Eddie Henemyre of Indianapolis, David Henemyre of Indianapolis, Kenneth (Becky) Matney of Fresno, California, Woody Matney of Richmond; brother, Herschel "Tiny" Henemyre; sisters, Bessie Mantooth, Mildred Walters; 12 grandchildren including his special caregiver/granddaughter, Angie (Greg) Blair; 13 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sons, Tommy Hennemyre, Joe Hennemyre, Garry Fredrick; 8 brothers and sisters, Frances Carico, Henry Henemyre, Bill Henemyre, Chuck Henemyre, Jack Henemyre, Mary Wheeler, Betty Mathugh, Dorothy Lou Henemyre. Services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday (May 21, 2013) in Riggle ��" Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Bill Jackson will officiate. Friends may call on Tuesday (May 21, 2013) from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
