Thomas E. York, age 66, passed away on Saturday (January 11, 2014) at his home. He was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on July 12, 1947 to Meredith T. and Marie York and had lived in this area since 1991. Thomas was a 28 year army veteran, where he was an E7 SFC mechanic and pack supervisor. He later drove a semi for 20 years. Survivors include his wife of 44 years Janice York, Daughters Tena Davis and Mary York; Son Thomas York Jr.; grandsons Alexander Davis, Justin Davis, Brandon Clegg, and Thomas York III; granddaughters Ashley York and Brooklyn York. In addition to his parents, a sister Sharon Bowen is also deceased. Graveside services for Thomas will be held on Wednesday (January 15, 2014) at 1 p.m. at Earlham Cemtery Field of Honor. Pastor Paul Mingus will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Thomas's name to the Thomas E.
