Tom Buccella, 65, of Richmond, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 28.

Tom was born on September 25, 1957 in Richmond, Indiana. He was a 1975 graduate of Richmond High School. He worked most of his life as a carpenter and tradesman, at one time serving as President of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America Local 912 in Richmond. He worked at several concert venues over the years building stages for many major rock bands.

Tom loved spending time with his family and extended family. He was very passionate about the community. He regularly offered his valid points of view to many current situations. Wherever he showed up, he was instantly the light of the room. His true friends were blessed to know his soft heart which he kept hidden behind his rough exterior.

Tom will be missed by his daughter, Latisha Cox; son & daughter-in-law, Derek & Rene Buccella; grandchildren, Katlynn Nichole Bryant, Leo Anthony Buccella and Tesla Mae Buccella; nephew, Tory Buccella, niece, Danielle Buccella; other nieces & nephews and a slew of friends everywhere.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Terry Buccella and Tony Buccella; and nephew, Anthony Buccella.

Visitation for Tom will be from 4-7 pm on Monday, April 3, at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary, 32 South 11th Street in Richmond. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 4, at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Richmond.
