Tony Buccella, age 87, of Richmond, died Sunday morning (December 22, 2013) at Rosebud Village. He was born in Warren, Ohio on May 16, 1926 to Vincento and Assunta DiFederico Buccella and had moved to Richmond in 1928 at the age of 2. He was a graduate of Richmond High School and a veteran of World War II where he served in the Army Air Corp. He was a retired Union Representative for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and had been active in many local community activities. He was a member of Saint Mary Church and of American Legion Post 65. His wife, Naomi Buccella, died July 11, 2007. Survivors include his son, Tom (Jeri Henry) Buccella of Richmond; sister, Virginia Brooks of Richmond; grandchildren, Anthony Buccella, Derek (Rene Kolling) Buccella, Tory Buccella, Danielle Buccella; great grandson, Leo Anthony Buccella; daughter-in-law, Debbie Buccella. In addition to his wife and parents, two sons, Terry Buccella and Tony Buccella, two sisters, Ann Chaplin and Elgiza "June" Wenning and a brother, Quido Buccella, are also deceased. Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday (December 28, 2013) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will be in Saint Mary Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Wayne County Honor Guard. Friends may call on Saturday (December 28, 2013) from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
