Violet Marie Stevens, 99, passed away Thursday January 18, 2024 at Friends Fellowship where she had resided the past several years. She had been a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Richmond, IN. Born August 18, 1924 to Irene and Alfred Berbaum, a prominent family in Champaign, IL. After high school graduation, she completed business school and began working at Chanute Air Force Base where she met and married the love of her life, Dale Stevens. They moved to Richmond, IN four years later, and settled on Cartwright Drive, where she and Dale raised four beautiful children.

She is survived by daughter Carol (Don) Kennedy, Col. Phillip Stevens (Dorothy), Michael (Sara) Stevens; grandchildren Kimberly Campbell (Jim Harvey), Cinda Norton, James Norton (Paula), Jamison Stevens, Eric Stevens (Carrie), John Stevens and Cole Stevens and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Dale, in 2005, daughter, Sandy, in 1991, her parents, one sister and two brothers.

Services will be held on Saturday January 27, 2024 at 2pm at Earlham Cemetery Mausoleum. Violet will be interred next to her husband Dale and daughter Sandy in Earlham Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary, 32 South 11th St. Richmond, IN.
