Virgil L. Nugent, age 82, of Richmond, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday (May 25, 2023). He was born in Richmond on October 15,1940 to Alfred and Bertha Lantz Nugent and had lived here all of his life. Virgil had worked for Kemper Cabinet and was a retired employee of Parker-Hannifin. He loved to fish and enjoyed being surrounded by family.

Survivors include his wife Susan Webb Nugent; daughter Lori Wade; sons Virgil L. and James J. Nugent, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, a daughter, Mary Ann Nugent, and brothers Delbert Nugent and Clinton Nugent are also deceased.

Services will be held on Wednesday (May 31, 2023) at 12:00 noon in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Wednesday (May 31, 2023) from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
