Virginia I. Howard, age 84, of Richmond, died Thursday morning (March 29, 2007) at her residence.� She was born in Richmond on February 19, 1923 to Carl and Irene Jelly Simons and had lived here all of her life.� She was a homemaker and a member of� the Gospel Baptist Church.� Her husband, Marcus Howard, died on November 6, 2002.

Survivors include daughters - Dixie Howard of Richmond and Donna (Glenn) Skinner of Anderson, Indiana;� sister - Anna Mae Hofer of Richmond;� grandchildren - Tiffany Skinner, Glenn Skinner, Jr., and Judy Hurt;� great grandchildren - Taylor Howell and Morrison Hurt;� special nieces - Brittany and Rachel Farmer and nieces & nephews

In addition to her parents, a sister, Mary Salyer, and three brothers, Carl Simons, Jr., William Simons and Wayne Simons are also deceased.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday (April 2, 2007) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.� Rev. Gilmer Smith will officiate.� Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.� Friends may call on Monday (April 2, 2007) from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
