Virginia Meyer, age 86, of Richmond passed away on Thursday October 21, 2021 at Golden Rule Living Center. She was born on October 5, 1935 in Richmond to John and Helen Behnen Chamberlain and had lived here all her life. She was a retired employee of the former Philco-Ford in Connersville and was a lifelong member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. She was a volunteer at St. Paul Episcopal Church soup kitchen. She greatly enjoyed going to church and visiting family and friends. Her husband Lovell Meyer died August 21, 1990.

Survivors include her daughter Thresa Griffith of Richmond; sister Jeannette Newton of Richmond; grandchildren: Tammy Whitaker and Heather Wilson and a great-grandchild Dakota Whitaker. Her son James Fox died April 9, 1981. She is also preceded in death by a great-grandchild Darian Whitaker and 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Services for Virginia will be conducted Monday October 25, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Deacon Jim Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Monday October 25, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
