Virginia A. Stephens, age 81, of Richmond, died Monday afternoon (May 8, 2006) at Oakridge Rehab and Specialty Care after a lengthly illness.� She was born in Richmond on April 9, 1925 to Sam and Lucy Pietrantano Rich and had lived here all of her life.� She was a graduate of Richmond High School and a retired employee of the former D & M Manufacturing�� She had also worked for Perfect Circle and First National Bank.� Virginia owned and operated her own beauty shop for over 40 years.� She was a member of Saint Mary Church and a former member of the Elks and Moose Lodges.� She and her husband enjoyed traveling and were members of the Rambling Roses Camping Group.� They were also active in the Nettle Creek Steppers and the Boots and Slippers square dance clubs. She had been a member of the American Business Women's Association.

Brother - Sam Rich, Jr. of Richmond;
Sisters -� Josephine Chifala of Centerville, Ohio,

Grandson - Jacob Jay Stephens of Richmond;
Nieces and Nephews;
She also leaves her sister-in-law, Annalee Cloud of Fairmount, Indiana and close friend, Nora Mae Davis, of Florida.

Two brothers, John Rich and Dee Rich, and a sister, Carmella Frech, are also deceased.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday (May 11, 2006) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.� Father Todd Riebe will officiate.� Burial will be in Saint Mary Cemetery.� Friends may call on Thursday (May 11, 2006) from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.� Memorial contributions may be made to Achieva Resources, 800 Mendleson Drive, Richmond, Indiana 47374 or to the American Diabetes Association, 644 Linn St. Suite 304, Cincinnati, OH 45203.
