Walter R. Gray, age 82, went to be with the Lord Tuesday March 22, 2022 at Ambassador Healthcare. He was born in Manchester, Ky on March 3, 1940 to Gus and Bam Howard Gray. Walter was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He enjoyed bowling, going to family reunions, traveling to watch his grandkids bowl and spending time with his family and his dogs.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Allen (Jodi) Gray of Fountain City, IN, Doug (Joy) Gray of Richmond, IN, Ruth Ann Gray of Richmond, IN, Melinda (Tyson) Whitehead of Merriville, TN; sisters Beatrice Collins of Manchester, KY and Mary Jane Gray of Richmond, IN; 11 grandchildren and many cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Elois Hibbard Gray; his parents; grandson Michael Gray; 9 brothers and 3 sisters.
Services for Walter will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday March 26, 2022 at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Tony Tate will officiate. Burial will immediately follow in Goshen Cemetery. Calling will be held on Friday March 25, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
