Walter W. Witte, age 100, of Richmond, died Saturday morning (August 18, 2007) at his residence.� He was born in Springfield, Ohio on July 28, 1907 to William L. and Mary A. Horstman Witte and had lived here most of his life.� He retired from Natco in 1972 after 32 years of employment and then worked for a number of years for NAPA Auto Parts.� He was an active and devoted member of Saint Andrew Church.� His wife of 69 years, Pauline Witte, died on January 30, 2007.

Survivors include his daughters - Betty (Leonard) Pope of Richmond, Carolyn (Ben) Green of Richmond, Mary Ann Witte of Richmond;� sons - Walter (Darlene) Witte, Jr of New Castle and Joseph (Stella) Witte of Richmond;� brother- Raymond (Mary) Witte of Middletown, Ohio; 21 grandchildren, a step-grandchild; 40 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

A son, Anthony Witte, his wife's son's, Father John Ryan and William E. Ryan, two brothers, Father Clarence Witte and Robert A. Witte, two sisters, Sister Donna Marie Witte and Sister Marie Bernard Witte, and a step-grandchild, are also deceased

A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Thursday (August 23, 2007) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Andrew Church.� Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery.� Friends may call on Wednesday (August 22, 2007) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.� Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Andrew Church, 240 So. 6th St. Richmond, Indiana 47374 or to Reid Hospital Foundation for Hospice, 1401 Chester Blvd. Richmond, Indiana 47374.�
