Obituary

William G. "Butch" Walker, age 65, of Fountain City, died Tuesday evening (June 8, 2004) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 5, 1938 to Franklin R. and LaRee Fleenor Walker and had lived in this area since 1980. He had worked as an industrial mechanic and he was an accomplished professional musician having played and recorded with a number of different bands. He enjoyed camping and was an avid motorcyclist. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include - Wife - Susan Walker to whom he was married 29 years

Michelle Jackson of Mississippi
Jennifer Hampton of Richmond
Sons - Franklin Walker of Mississippi
Stephen Walker of Mississippi
Jason Walker of Fountain City
Jacob Walker of Fountain City
Step-father - George Bennett of Richmond
Step-brother - Michael Bennett of Fountain City
13 Grandchildren
a niece and a nephew
His parents, a brother, Franklin E. Walker, a son, William Walker Jr., and his first wife, Dolores McVaugh are also deceased.
