William C. "Flyboy" Pearce, age 79, of Richmond, died Tuesday morning (January 8, 2008) at the home of his step-daughter.� He was born in Jeannette, Pennsylvania on February 24, 1928 to Harry and Lulu Cook Pearce and had lived here since 1969.� He was a graduate of Jeannette High School and was a retired Technical Sergeant with the United States Air Force where he served in World War II, Korea and Viet Nam.� He also worked for McDonnell Aircraft.� He was a member of� the Druids Lodge, American Legion Post 315 and the Whitewater Valley Detachment of the Marine Corp League.� He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.� His wife, Imogene Pearce, died on December 20, 2002.
Survivors include his step-daughter - Atoka (Robert) Spencer of Richmond and his step-son - Lonnie Borden of Richmond.
A brother and a sister are also deceased.Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday (January 11, 2008) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.� Rev. Paul Mingus will officiate.� Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Veterans Honor Guard.� Friends may call on Thursday (January 10, 2007) from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.�
