William E. Grimes, age 58, formerly of Richmond, died Sunday morning (June 30, 2013) at the Byron Health Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born in Richmond on January 12, 1955 to Wilson and Betsy Tuttle Grimes and had lived in Fort Wayne for the past 33 years Survivors include his mother, Betsy Garner of Richmond; sisters, Laura (Myron) Scheer of Lima, Ohio, Alice Altizer of Richmond, Sue Ellen (Jeff) Dykes of New Haven, Indiana, Betty Jean (Walt) Toney of Richmond; brothers, Robert (Gail) Grimes of Richmond, Wayne Mull of Indianapolis, James (Karen) Grimes of Farmland, Indiana; step-mother, Catherine Jane Grimes of Richmond; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. His father, Wilson Grimes, and two sisters, Mary Wooten and Peggy Mull, are also deceased. Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday (July 3, 2013) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Steve Lantz will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Elkhorn Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday (July 3, 2013) from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
