William ("Skip") H. Grimes, III

Richmond - Skip Grimes, age 58, was surrounded by family and friends as he went to be

with the Lord on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Skip was born in Richmond, Indiana on July 8,

1959 to parents William ("Bill") and Earlene Grimes.

A lifelong resident of Richmond, Skip worked at Primex Plastics for 26 years. Prior to

his cancer diagnosis, Skip also owned and operated a lawn care and snow removal

service. He was a dedicated husband, proud father and adoring grandfather. Skip was

a dearly loved son, brother, cousin and uncle. Those closest to him will remember how

hard he worked to provide for his family and his strength, dignity, and faith in the Lord

as he battled cancer.

Skip is survived by his wife Rhonda Grimes; daughters Shelly (Adam) Pfenninger, and

Kayla Grimes; granddaughter Allison Pfenninger; father Bill Grimes; sisters Kathy

(John) Dudas, Margie Grimes, Terri (Lester) Crawford, and Debbie Nelson; in-laws Inez

Grubb, Gary (Lisa) Grubb, Karen (Robert) Schroeder, Larry (Nancy) Grubb, and Diana

(Jim) Hoskins; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Skip was preceded in death by his mother Earlene Grimes, brother-in-law Tony Rothert

and father-in-law George Grubb, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. at Riggle-Waltermann

Mortuary, 32 S 11th St., Richmond, IN. The funeral will be held at Riggle-Waltermann

on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 10 a.m. Donations in Skip's honor can be made to the
