William E. Hieger, age 61, of Richmond, died Sunday morning (September 4, 2011) at his residence. He was born in Richmond on March 27, 1950 to William E. Sr. and Estelle Galloucis Hieger and had lived here most of his life. Bill had worked as an electrical engineer and as a mechanic. He was a musician and he built and refurbished guitars. He was a Marine Corp veteran of the Viet Nam War and was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Survivors include his daughters - Christine (Kristopher) Rudolph of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Michelle (Thomas) Pyle of Centerville, Indiana; his mother - Estelle Hieger of Texas; brothers - Paul F. Hieger and Phillip A. Hieger both of Texas; grandchildren - Alexia, Andrew and Jacob; nieces - Kathryn Hieger, Megan Hieger; nephew - Erich Hieger. Services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday (September 9, 2011) at Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Father Mark Emroll will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Honor Guard. Friends may call on Friday (September 9, 2011) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
