William D. McDaniel, age 53, of Richmond, died Sunday (November 11, 2012) at his residence. He was born in Wayne County, Indiana on July 5, 1959 to Dave and Bessie Williams McDaniel and had lived here all of his life. He was a graduate of Hagerstown High School and had worked at the former Welliver's Smorgasboard and at Amcast. He attended Gateway Vineyard. Survivors in addition to his parents, Dave and Bessie McDaniel, include sisters Naomi (Mike) McKendree of Greens Fork and Penny (Rodney) Lanter of New Paris, Ohio; brothers Dwayne (Sandy) McDaniel of Taswell, Tennessee and Shane (Betsy) McDaniel of Greens Fork; his adopted son - Junior Hofacker of Richmond; nieces and nephews; a great niece and great nephew. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday (November 15, 2012) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Charles McMahan will officiate. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery near Greens Fork.
