William Eugene Stolle of Richmond, died Thursday (June 2, 2011) at Reid Hospital after a two month illness. He was 88. He was born on April 28, 1923 in Richmond to William and Mary Jeanette (Melle) Stolle; they preceded him in death. He married Janet (Steele) Stolle February 2, 1946. She preceded him in death October 22, 1992. Survivors include children Mark Stolle (Cheryl) of Liberty, Indiana and Randy Stolle (Ann) of New Paris, Ohio; grandchildren Bill Stolle (Heidi), Matt Stolle (Christine), Kara Stolle (Lennie Foy), Jay Stolle (Jamie), Tasha Peacock (Doug) and Leah Hostalet (Gabe) and 16 great grandchildren. He has many nieces and nephews and also leaves behind friend Anne Curcello and her family in Elyria, Ohio. He was also preceded in death by brothers Robert, Donald, Floyd and Myron Stolle and sisters Emerald Maddox and Ruby Stolle. He was a decorated World War II Army veteran and served throughout Europe. He retired from Sears in 1982 and enjoyed many years of retirement in Florida Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday (June 6, 2011) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Monday (June 6, 2011) with Rev. Mick Miller officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
