William J. Toney, age 95, of Richmond, died Wednesday (April 7, 2010) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Richmond on March 29, 1915 to Orville and Oma Overholser Toney and had lived here all of his life. He was a retired 32 year employee of the former Swayne Robinson Company and was a member of Holy Family Church. Survivors include his daughters - Kay (Tom) Jackson of Phenix City, Alabama, Joan Rose of Richmond; son - John (Martha) Toney of Cambridge City; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 22 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; six step-children and several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; His first wife, Helen Savel Toney, second wife Wanda Dykes Toney, third wife, Erma Fontella Vogelgesang Toney; a brother and two sisters are also deceased. Services will be held on Monday (April 12, 2010) at 10:30 am in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Bill Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday (April 11, 2010) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
